About Us
For over 25 years, we have been playing a pivotal role in driving digital transformation in the healthcare sector and providing the public with innovative access to medical services—high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective. Since 2000, we have been operating Europe’s largest telemedicine medical center. With over 150 employed physicians and an IT development department of about 30 people, Medgate has long since evolved beyond being merely a telemedicine service provider; as a technology-driven digital health partner for physicians with numerous flagship projects, it is now a leader in innovation within the Swiss healthcare market.

Our team of doctors helps you manage and bridge periods of high patient demand when your practice is closed. We train your medical assistants in triage for telemedicine, which allows us to resolve more than three-quarters of all cases over the phone.

With approximately 300 employees, Medgate Switzerland is the largest national organization within the Medgate Group, which employs a total of 760 people. Other organizational units within the Group include Medgate Germany, Medgate Philippines, and BetterDoc.

Medgate is committed to responsible corporate governance and complies with legal and internal regulations. Medgate takes early action to prevent potential violations and avoids risks that could harm patients, employees, and partners, as well as Medgate as a company. For this reason, Medgate provides an electronic whistleblower portal: Through the Otto Group’s “SpeakUp!” portal, potential violations can be reported directly, confidentially, and anonymously around the clock. In addition, employees have the option of contacting the Otto Group’s ombudsman confidentially.
