Medgate introduced a new IT system on September 17, 2024. At the same time, the Medgate app as well as the apps of Medgate’s partner health insurers were relaunched. Some functions may be temporarily limited or completely disabled. Below is a detailed overview of the available functions.

Important: Download the new Medgate App
Go to the AppStore (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android) and download the new version of the Medgate App.
If necessary, you may need to verify yourself in the app to be able to use medical services.
Available functions
- Book teleconsultations with our doctors.

Newly issued prescriptions, sick leave certificates, or medical orders directly in the app.

Existing children's profiles have been integrated into the updated Medgate app.

Existing and newly booked treatment time slots can be seen in the app.
The AI-based symptom checker is available.
New child profiles can be added.
The ‘Prescription’ and ‘Clarify skin problem’ services are available again.
The function «Favorite doctors» is available again.
Current limitations
- In the chat, added attachments are not visible but are transmitted to our medical team. You do not need to upload them again.
- Push notifications for appointment reminders, appointment delays, patient unavailability, and delivery of medical documents are currently not being sent.
- Medical documents from the past are no longer displayed on the app and cannot be accessed. Please contact us via email at feedback@medgate.ch if you wish to receive your medical documents.
- The «Health information» feature is temporarily unavailable. The stored information is saved in the system and will reappear once the feature is reinstated.
- Copies of invoices cannot currently be requested directly via the app. For the time being, please contact customer service directly, either by e-mail to servicecenter@medgate.ch or by telephone on 061 377 88 28. The option to obtain invoice copies via the app will be reintroduced at a later date.
